The Pros and Cons of Being a Frog by Sue DeGennaro - ADVISABLE

DeGennaro, Sue The Pros and Cons of Being a Frog.  PICTURE BOOK.  Simon & Schuster, 2016.  $18.
The boy is very creative and obsessive; his best friend Camille is more orderly and mathematical.  When he tries to make her a frog costume too, he fails to pick up on her cues and they both blow up.  After some calming down, they might be able to patch things up.

My favorite part of the story is the boy recognizing where things went wrong and the pair forgiving each other.  The illustrations are charming.  It might be a good way to talk about differences and accepting differences and to help kids understand that one fight doesn’t mean that you will never be friends again.
