The Case of the Missing Tiger’s Eye (Rider Woofson #1) by Walker Styles -OPTIONAL

Styles, Walker The Case of the Missing Tiger’s Eye (Rider Woofson #1), 117 pgs. Little Simon, 2016. $16.99. Content: Language: G (0 swears); Mature Content: G Violence: G
Rider Woofson runs a dog detective agency called the Pup Investigation pack. They are called to solve the mystery of a stolen cat statue. The guard that was there while it was stolen said that it looked like a giant monster stole it. But right away Woofson and his agency finds clues, including banana peels and get on the case. Many crazy hijinks ensue. Features large font size and many illustrations.
This is a fun read with creative dialogue that takes into account the animal character aspect of the story. Its very much vintage detective vibe with good guys, bad guys, clues, puzzle solving, gadgets, and red herrings. This is one to add to your Mystery collection for grades first thru second. I wouldn’t say that mystery is wildly popular right now so I am going to list this as optional.
