Shapes at Play by Silvia Borando -ADVISABLE

Borando, Silvia Shapes at Play Candlewick, 2014. $14.00 PICTURE BOOK
This story features the simple shapes of square, circle, and triangle having adventures in creating new things like houses, castles, and cars. Eventually they blast off and find some new friends. Simple bold bright colors against white backdrops make the illustrations easy to share with a group.
This is a great book for Pre-k and Kindergarten teachers. Students could try to recreate some of the action with their own shape manipulatives. Its fun and short and would also make a great activity for students to try to create their own scenes with shape.

PRE-K, EL(K-3) –ADVISABLE  Reviewer: Stephanie Elementary School Librarian & Author.
