Ant-Man: Game Over by Nancy Lambert -- OPTIONAL
Ant-Man and his daughter Cassie love to play pinball at the arcade. In order to add to the fun, Ant-Man shrinks the both of them down so they can wander inside the pinball machines. But when Cassie gets stuck, Ant-Man has to rely on his insect friends in order to rescue her.
This is a very colorful early reader which could appeal to fans of Marvel comics. Some children may be disappointed by the fact that Ant-Man and Cassie are simply wandering video games rather than fighting villains. Particularly sensitive children will likely find a few of the illustrations creepy. Also, how many children are actually familiar with arcades and pinball machines?
