Penguin: 12 Days of Picture Books Blog Tour

What a great way to end this countdown - a book that should be in every home, because every parent will understand the sentiment and every child will love the personalities of the crayons and their disparate dilemmas!

Duncan has scattered crayons - not just around every corner of the house, but also he left Neon Red behind when he was on vacation.  Everyone has a bone to pick with Duncan - especially because their box was no longer a good fit for them.  But Duncan has an idea!

Daywalt and Jeffers have another cute hit on their hands.  his is certainly a great look at creativity and anthropomorphizing inanimate objects, which would be a great exercise for any writing class.

Visit the Crayons at their own website where they have K-5 lesson plans and a couple of activity pages. I also have to include a shout out to a group of students at my middle school who used Crayons for their in-class mini-play

Pre-K, EL (K-3) - ESSENTIAL; MS, HS - OPTIONAL.  Cindy, Library
