This book features a selection of 11 different creatures of the rainforest that are ranked in power, size, strength, aggression, and deadliness. Some of the creatures are the electric eel, vampire bat, poison dart frog, Hercules beetle and the harpy eagle. Large color photographs are prevalent.
This was a fascinating book! I learned some cool and horrifying facts and wanted to jump up and find someone to share them with. There are two “photos” that might jar young readers, a harpy eagle carrying a sloth to its death and a Anaconda strangling a horrified capybara, both images looked to be photoshopped and I wish they hadn’t been included. But the rest of the photography is well chosen and dynamic.
