Princess Juniper by Ammi-Joan Paquette - ADVISABLE

Paquette, Ammi-Joan Princess Juniper, 271 pages. PHILOMEL BOOKS, 2015. Language-G (0 swears, 0 "f"s) Mature Content-G; Violence- G;
Juniper is a princess who has just turned 13. She asks her father if, for her birthday, she could have a small country to rule over so she could practice for when she is queen. Her father says yes so she pules together a group to go with her. The day they are to leave, a nearby country attacks and her mean cousin, Cyril, is sent with them so that he might be safe from the attacks as well. In her hidden, little country, strange things start to happen, and it is up to Juniper to stay strong to save her country as well as her father's.

This book had a nice plot, and a great ending. I thought the beginning was a tad slow, and took me a little bit to get to the point where all I wanted to do was read. Overall this was a great book.
