Ninja Bunny by Jennifer Gray Olson –ESSENTIAL

Olson, Jennifer Ninja Bunny Knopf, 2015. $17.95  PICTURE BOOK

A little Bunny tries to master the rules of “ how to be a super awesome ninja” and finds it can be a bit tricky. Such as being sneaky…when you accidentally step on a rake! The most challenging though seems to be that a Ninja must work alone, because when the odds are against you, sometimes is great to have some super awesome friends.

Shouldn’t all ninja books be rated as Essential? If you haven’t noticed ninja’s are almost as popular as Vikings, with young readers. This book takes a fun and hilarious take on the rules of being a ninja while featuring adorable artwork that is perfect for sharing at a story time. With its simple lesson about friendship, I will be adding this book to the library collection without delay.
