Home for Christmas Break from Wilsons, an academy for spies, David Caulfield hopes for a quiet break at home. While home, he discovers that his parents aren’t really his parents. That they in fact were two agents assigned to guard Danny years ago for reasons unknown. When everyone is attacked, he flees back to the school only to come back to a murder and a dangerous mission assignment. In order to save the Upper World from the Lower World, Danny and his friends must retrieve the Treaty Stone from the kingdom of Morne(a Lower World kingdom in the Upper World) before the Ring. Will Danny and his friends succeed? Will Danny find out the reasons behind his “parents’ “ protection?

This enchanting tale is filled with action, mystery, and intrigue. The characters are well-developed and engaging. The mix of action and mystery is well-blended and does a great job of keeping the reader’s interest. Readers who have read the first book and enjoy mystery, action, and adventure will enjoy reading this book. EL (4-6), MS. ADVISABLE. Reviewer: Kira M, Youth Services Librarian, WHI Public Library.
