Another Night at the Museum by Milan Trenc -- OPTIONAL
In this follow-up book, Larry the night guard rushes to his job at the museum -- only to realize he might have left the bathtub running at home. His imagination takes him on a wild adventure as he pictures bath water flooding the museum, causing the sea animals to come to life. A helpful section at the end clarifies a few points for children by explaining, for example, that a running bathtub could never actually flood Manhattan. While the premise is cute, it's hard to get lost in a tale that is so clearly a dream, and although the illustrations and storyline are nice, neither one is particularly memorable.
