Mr. Putter is worried that he and his cat Tabby nap too much. He decides that they need a sport. He heads down to the basement to find his old mitt. He calls his friend, Mrs. Teaberry, who helps them find a baseball team to join. Mr. Tabby is worried about his knees being too old and whether or not he will be able to play. It doesn't take him long to figure out that he is more fit and skilled than most of the team. Read to find out if Mr. Tabby and Mrs. Teaberry can even play in the game and how their pets end up “saving the day.” This is a great early reader with a fun story-line and illustrations to help children enjoy reading.
