I'm My Own Dog by David Ezra Stein -- ADVISABLE
This confident dog belongs to no one. But when a lonely man follows it home, well, what's a dog to do? Allow the man to tag along and feel like an owner, of course!
This tongue-in-cheek picture book will have many kids reassessing their relationships with their dogs, wondering just who owns whom. Both the dog and the man are endearing, and the illustrations capture the playful spirit of the plot well.
