Flirt: Never Too Late by A. Destiny and Rhonda Helms - ADVISABLE

Destiny, A. and Rhonda Helms  Flirt: Never Too Late, 209 pgs.  Simon Pulse, 2014.  $17.99  Content: Language: G; Mature Content: PG; Violence: G.

Abbey has landed the lead in the play her sophomore year, her only worry is that she plays across from Jason Hardy.  Abbey heard Jason tell his friends last year that Abbey was boring and she has held it against Jason ever since.  As Abbey and Jason get to know each other they begin to like each other more, and Abbey has anxiety about her feelings towards Jason because Abbey’s best friend has had a crush on Jason for a long time.

This is a clean middle school romance.  Although the main character is a high school sophomore, the simple and predictable storyline might be better received in middle school.  It’s easy to recommend because it’s super clean and the idea of judging others without knowing them is explored.

 MS-ADVISABLE.  HS-OPTIONAL.  Reviewer, C. Peterson.
