Monsters in Space (Galaxy Zack #4) by Ray O’Ryan –ADVISABLE

O’Ryan, Ray Monsters in Space (Galaxy Zack #4) 128 pgs. Little Simon, 2013. $15.99 Content: Language: G (0 swears); Mature Content: G Violence: G
In this fourth book, Zack, a young boy living on colonized planet populated by humans, goes to school one day and there is a big furry monster sitting at his desk. Zach is filled with shock and terror, but quickly realizes that no one else seems to be upset in the slightest. As Zack gets to know Al, he finds out that Al is just different, but not a monster. After a visit to Al’s home planet, Zack finds out that judging people by what’s on the inside is what counts.
I liked this book better than the last. It still had planet hopping but a great message, that was illustrated through many great examples. I think students will like the idea of a world with lots of kinds of creatures co-existing. The covers of the series are appealing and will be sure to catch attention.
