Gordon is a young chicken who along with his little brother, fell into a vast of mysterious potion at his Uncles laboratory. This gave them superpowers. Now they are both secret superheroes with superhero names, Kung Pow Chicken and Egg Drop. When everyone in town eats a cookie that makes them lose all their feathers, then they have to purchase sweaters, the two superheroes are determined to solve the mystery. But the granny’s that made the cookies and the sweaters are tougher than they look.
This was a fun story with TONS of color pictures! The story was creative and cute as well, though I think I could have stood for a book before this as the full origin story. This sort of has the feel of a second book in a series, not a first. I think first and second grade readers will love this superhero adventure, it has cover appeal and well geared vocabulary.
