The Secret of the Ginger Mice by Frances Watts - ADVISABLE

Watts, Frances The Secret of the Ginger Mice, 294 pgs. Running Press Kids, 2012. Language - G, Sexual Content - G; Violence - PG;

Alistair is the only ginger mouse he knows before falling on top of Tibby Rose. That fateful encounter starts their adventure together through two countries worth of challenges. Meanwhile, Alex and Alice begin their own travels of obstacles to discover where their brother Alistair has disappeared to. One story, two fabulous adventures.

I loved the resourcefulness and humor of these courageous mice from cover to cover. Through spies, guards, and growling stomachs these young mice leave readers waiting for the sequel. There's no putting this story down. It's too bad the cover doesn't have much appeal for a modern reader.
