Jinx and Jackson are on the case again and this time Todd, another popular football jock, is having trouble sleeping and his family’s business is in trouble. A regular haunt for a normally jovial ghost, The Black Tavern resident specter seems to have turned into a poltergeist. Every time Todd and his brother fight, the ghost goes berserk and scares off even the regular bar patrons. Can Jinx and Jackson save Todd’s family’s business and solve the case?

An engaging, quick read for reluctant readers. The character are entertaining and the plot is fast-moving and does a great job of holding reader’s interest. Readers who like mystery, horror, and ghost hunting will love reading this book. EL(5-6), MS, HS. ESSENTIAL. Reviewer: Kira M, Youth Services Librarian, WHI Public Library.
