Abby and Noah
are lucky to have the possible chance to take home the class pet! Which is a
duck named Max! But Max has very specific needs, and they both must work hard
to make their backyards a place where Max is allowed to stay over. Abby earns
the chance to get Max first, sort of winning the competition. But when Max gets
out –she is going to have to work with Noah to help get him back.
This was a cute
book and a fun way of creating a new friendship between two neighbors. I think
students will like idea of a duck as a class pet!
