A Greyhound of a Girl by Roddy Doyle - OPTIONAL

Doyle, Roddy A Greyhound of a Girl, 201 pgs. Amulet Books, 2012. Language - PG (24 swears, 0 "f"), Sexual Content - G; Violence - G;

Mary is having a hard time with the events in her life. Her brothers are growing up, her best friend has moved, and her granny is in the hospital, making Mary feel very alone. But then she meets Tansey, her great-grandma. With Tansey Mary goes on a trip, with her mom and granny in tow, that none of them will soon forget.

This story is cute, but also very repetitive. There are lots of parts that could have, and should have, been cut out because they just make the story hard to follow. However, I do like the idea of four generations of women spending time with one another and going on a trip to the past.
