Forever Four by Elizabeth Cody Kimmel-ADVISABLE

Kimmel, Elizabeth Cody, Forever Four. Grosset and Dunlap, 2012. Pgs. 216. Language: G, Violence: G, Sexual Content: G

Paulina, Tally, Miko, and Ivy are four very different, extraordinary people from four very different circles of friends: the Brain, the Actress, the Prom Queen in Training, and the New Girl. When they are grouped together to create a magazine for a school competition, the four have trouble agreeing on anything. To make matter worse, one of the other contest entries blame the four of cheating. With the deadline fast approaching to produce their first magazine, can the four girls pull it together and prove to everyone they’re not cheaters?

A cute, fun read for girls. The characters are likable and entertaining. The plot moves fairly quickly without any lulls in the book. Readers who like realistic fiction, chick-lit, friendship, and school stories will enjoy reading this book. EL (4-6). ADVISABLE. Reviewer: Kira M, Youth Services Librarian, WHI Public Library.
