Nocturne (Claire De Lune Novel 2) by Christine Johnson -OPTIONAL

Johnson, Christine Nocturne (Claire De Lune Novel 2), 368 pgs. Simon Pulse, 2011. $11.46. (Language-G, Violence-PG; Sexual Content-PG.)
Claire the werewolf teenager is back in this second book. She is still working on balancing her human life and her werewolf life. At this point -not only does she seem to be losing her best friend, but her boyfriend as well. When a new girl in school starts to suspect her secret, will Claire be able to do what it takes to keep her silent?
Much like the first book in this series, this story was generic/predictable but remained highly readable. I don't recommend as a stand alone. It delved into a few more teen issues like drinking, but was still pretty tame. I recommend it as a great read to inspire a lower level reader -since the text and plot are simple to read and understand, while the theme is trendy and relevant to teen life.
