The Piper's Son by Melina Marchetta - No

Marchetta, Melina The Piper's Son, 336 pgs. Candlewick Press, 2100. Language - R (125 swears, 25 f-words); Sexual Content - R; Violence - PG. This is a loose continuation of Marchetta's previous book, Saving Francesca (2003). "After his favorite uncle's violent death, Tom Mackee watches his family implode, quits school, and turns his back on music and everyone who matters. While he is in no shape to mend what is broken, he fears that no one else is, either."

I did not enjoy this book. It felt like an adult book about adult problems. I wanted a YA book with teen problems. Half the story was told by Tom, 22 years old, and the other half is told by his pregnant Aunt Georgie, who is in her forties. Also, it had a lot of language and sexual content. There wasn't much that appealed to me in this book.
