The Falling Raindrop by Neil Johnson

Johnson, Neil and Joel Chin.  The Falling Raindrop.  40 pages.  Tricycle Press, 2010.  Content: G PICTURE BOOK.  This is the story of a raindrop and his journey to the earth.  When the raindrop first starts falling he is happy, but begins to worry about the fact that he is falling.  Blinded by his fears he misses out on the joy and excitement of the journey.  His fears are laid to rest as he hits a campfire and evaporates back into the sky and takes a return journey to the clouds.  This book is a metaphor for enjoying life, yet it can be confusing whether or not the author is trying to explain the science of condensation.  Optional  Elementary,.  Reviewer:  C.Peterson. Middle School teacher.
