The fourth book in the Blue Bloods series begins a year after the third book Revelations. Like the previous titles, the fast-paced plot is told from three vampire’s perspectives: Schulyer Van Alen, Bliss Llewellyn, and Mimi Force. Schulyer Van Alen and human conduit Oliver have been on the run for over a year since the death of her grandfather Lawrence and the conclave’s disbelief of her testimony. Schulyer is exhausted and tries to take shelter with the European conclave only to be attacked by Silver Bloods. She escapes with the help of her former lover Jack Force. Bliss Llewellyn can barely remember her name. The visitor who takes over her body has taken away a year of her consciousness. She is trying to piece together her past life, past lives, and future. Can she regain control of her body? Mimi Force has joined a venator team looking for Jordan Llewellyn who was taken by Silver Bloods. The team is headed by Kingsley Martin who Mimi can’t quite get out of her head. Blood, betrayal, and bonds broken, this book is hard to put down.

Author De La Cruz continues to create vampire lore that intertwines biblical and historical stories with cutting edge fashion and adventure. Fans of Twilight will bite into this series..
